Všichni členové ho společně psali a pravidelně hráli většinu rolí (včetně mnoha ženských). K seriálu nebyl pořízen český dabing, české titulky napsal scenárista a režisér Petr Palouš.

Monty Python (also collectively known as the Pythons) were a British surreal comedy troupe who created the sketch comedy television show Monty Python's Flying Circus, which first aired on the BBC in 1969. Forty-five episodes were made over four series. The Python phenomenon developed from the television series into something larger in scope and influence, including touring stage shows, films, albums, books and musicals. The Pythons' influence on comedy has been compared to the Beatles' influence on music. Regarded as an enduring icon of 1970s pop culture, their sketch show has been referred to as being "an important moment in the evolution of television comedy".

The word liminal comes from the Latin word limens, which means "limit or threshold." Author and theologian Richard Rohr defines liminal time in this way: "It is when you have left, or are about to leave, the tried and true, but have not yet been able to replace it with anything else. It is when you are between your old comfort zone and any possible new answer. If you are not trained in how to hold anxiety, how to live with ambiguity, how to entrust and wait, you will run...anything to flee this terrible cloud of unknowing." He goes on to say that ancient cultures referred to liminal space as "crazy time," because it is like nothing we have ever experienced before. Think of it as that space, that time, when a flying acrobat has let go of one swinging trapeze and is in mid-air, anxiously seeking the grasp of another who is swinging their way.

Disney’s recent trademark lawsuit against Phase 4 Films and their movie Frozen Land has reignited discussion about ‘mockbusters,’ the portmanteau used to describe a genre of home video that is dedicated to tricking customers into mistakenly purchasing a low-budget imitation of a popular movie. As certain as the dawn, animation companies release these knock-offs to capitalize on the popularity of major studio releases. Mockbusters typically favor public domain content (like fairy tales), but also include questionable copies of another studio’s original characters, or deceptively repackaging an existing animated film with a trendy new cover and title.

Need some examples? No problem, because we’ve compiled the most comprehensive list of animation mockbusters the Internet has to offer. There might be others.

wuxia (ˈwuːˌʃiːˈɑː)
noun. A genre of Chinese fiction and film, concerning the adventures of sword-wielding chivalrous heroes

Before kung fu, there was wuxia. Before cinema, there was wuxia. A widely encompassing term – literally translated as martial (wu) chivalry (xia) – what was made famous in the west as a subgenre of martial arts cinema, finds its roots in seventh-century romantic literature and poetry, evolving through hundreds of years of oral and written tradition. The anti-Confucian value systems of wuxia literature, with their emphasis on the attainment of personal freedom, saw much of it repressed and reconfigured throughout history. The same went for its early cinematic incarnations, the Chinese government banning production in the 1930s as a means of protecting the young against moral corruption. It would re-emerge 20 years later, but with strictly enforced moral codes in place, and it wouldn’t be until the late 60s that the genre would truly come into its own, with the modern wuxia film born under the guidance of the milestone films of Chang Cheh and King Hu.
A genre as synonymous with the supernatural and the philosophical as the codes of honour and justice under which its heroes fight, it’s often characterised as much by its melancholy romanticism as by its fantastical, high-flying clashes of sword and fist.

“Wuxia” is a Mandarin word that literally means “martial heroes”. It has become popular as a term for a genre of Chinese fiction concerning the adventures of martial artists in ancient China. Although wuxia is traditionally a form of literature, its popularity has caused it to spread to diverse art forms such as Chinese opera, movies, television series, video games and Manhua (Chinese comic books).

The word “wuxia” is a compound composed of the elements wu, “martial”, “military”, or “armed”, and xia, “honourable”, “chivalrous”, or “hero”. A martial artist who follows the code of xia is often referred to as a xiake (“follower of xia”) or youxia (wandering hero).
The earliest wuxia films date back to the 1920’s. In the 1960’s King Hu and the Shaw Brothers Studio were producing films that featured sophisticated action choreography using wire and trampoline-assisted acrobatics combined with sped-up camera techniques. The storylines in the early films were loosely adapted from existing literature. The first martial arts movie superstars such as Cheng Pei-pei, Jimmy Wang Yu and Connie Chan are among the better known early wuxia movie stars. During the modern era, stars including Jet Li, Brigitte Lin, Michelle Yeoh, Donnie Yen, Tony Leung and Zhang Ziyi all made a name for themselves in wuxia films. Producer and director Tsui Hark along with legendary action choreographer Yuen Woo-ping owe a large part of their success to their work in the wuxia genre. In 2000, wuxia films found a new and wider audience thanks to the success of Ang Lee’s “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon“. It was a huge box office success and was nominated for ten Academy Awards, winning four. Its success in the west paved the way for films such as Zhang Yimou’s “Hero“, “House of Flying Daggers” and “Curse of the Golden Flower” to be released in international markets. The genre continues to be popular with both Asian and Western audiences alike. In recent years Daniel Wu’s hit television series has taken the wuxia concept and updated it in his show “Into the Badlands“, which is now into its third season.

Film, also called movie, motion picture or moving picture, is a visual art-form used to simulate experiences that communicate ideas, stories, perceptions, feelings, beauty, or atmosphere through the use of moving images. These images are generally accompanied by sound, and more rarely, other sensory stimulations.[1] The word “cinema”, short for cinematography, is often used to refer to filmmaking and the film industry, and to the art form that is the result of it.
